DODHAM YATRA EX HARIDWAR

Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar – Drive to Guptkashi (Approx. 7-8 hours drive)

Arrival in Haridwar: Arrive at Haridwar Railway Station.

Morning: Begin your journey to Guptkashi, located in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Drive: Enjoy a scenic drive through winding roads, rivers, and small villages.

Enroute: Visit Devprayag Sangam, Dhari Devi Temple, Rudraprayag Sangam.

Evening: Reach Guptkashi and check into the hotel for the night.

Overnight stay: Guptkashi.

Day 2: Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath (Drive + Trek: 16 km)

Early Morning: After breakfast, drive to Sonprayag (approx. 30 km).

Shared Jeep Ride: From Sonprayag, take a shared jeep to Gaurikund (approx. 5 km).

o Trek to Kedarnath: Begin your 16 km trek to Kedarnath. The trek can take 6-7 hours,

o On reaching Kedarnath, check-in to your accommodation.

o Visit the Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and offer your prayers.

Overnight stay: Kedarnath.

Day 3: Kedarnath – Gaurikund – Guptkashi (Trek + Drive)

• Morning: After visiting the Kedarnath Temple for morning prayers, begin your return trek to Gaurikund.

• Drive: From Gaurikund, take a jeep back to Sonprayag and then drive to Guptkashi.

• Evening: Relax and unwind after the long journey.

• Overnight stay: Guptkashi.

Day 4: Guptkashi – Badrinath (Approx. 7-8 hours drive)

Morning: After breakfast, drive from Guptkashi to Badrinath, another of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites.

Scenic Journey: Enjoy a beautiful drive through the picturesque landscapes of the Garhwal Himalayas.

Evening: Reach Badrinath and check into the hotel.

o Visit the Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. You can take a dip in the sacred Tapt Kund (hot spring) before visiting the temple.

Overnight stay: Badrinath.

Day 5: Badrinath – Rudraprayag (Approx. 6-7 hours drive)

Morning: After breakfast, explore Badrinath Temple if you wish to attend the early morning Aarti.

Drive: Depart for Rudraprayag, which takes around 6-7 hours. Enjoy the scenic drive

along the rivers and mountains.

Overnight stay: Rudraprayag.

Day 6: Rudraprayag – Haridwar Departure

Morning: After breakfast, drive to Haridwar.

Departure: End of your Kedarnath and Badrinath Yatra, and you can proceed to your onward destination from Haridwar.

Important Notes:

• The trek to Kedarnath (16 km one way) requires good physical fitness, and it's advisable to carry adequate clothing, water, and trekking gear.

• The Badrinath Temple remains open from May to November, so plan your trip during the official pilgrimage season.

• The weather in these regions can change abruptly, so it's essential to carry warm clothing even in the summer months.

• Pre-book your accommodations, especially in Kedarnath and Badrinath, as these places can get crowded during peak pilgrimage season.
